Transneft, the world's largest oil transportation pipeline company, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 68,400 kilometres of main pipelines, 507 pumping stations, and 24.4 million cubic metres of storage tanks.
Pipeline operations station, known as Perm, is the largest station of the Perm regional oil pipeline management division of JSC Transneft Kama region. It is located near the city of Perm. The station control oil pumping via trunk oil pipelines with a total length of more than 180 km in four directions. The routes include Surgut—Polotsk, Kholmogory—Klin, Perm—Almetyevsk, and Perm—Permneftiorgsintez.
During the summer of 2018, AKRUS® manufactured and supplied protective coatings to the oil and gas facility of PJSC Transneft. At this particular facility, the coating of tank No. 7 was completed with a capacity of 50,000 cubic metres, which is designed to store petroleum products at the Perm pipeline operations station.
In order to complete this scope, AKRUS® coating systems were employed for the external and internal surfaces of the tanks and metal structures: AKRUS® Epoks, AKRUS® Poliur, and AKRUS® Long.
