AKRUS® materials application for
«Anatoly Klimov» vessel
- Client: FSUE Rosmorport
- Task: AKRUS® trademark coatings supply
On 28 January 2020, a ceremony was held at Onego Shipyard to mark the launch of the hybrid working boat Anatoly Klimov, which forms part of the ST23WIM-H project. This was achieved using a (vessel class KM ICE 3 R2 AUT).
The vessel is designated by the construction number 107-N. The working boat, designated the Anatoly Klimov, was constructed by order of Rosmorport for operation in the Vanino seaport. The overall project developer is MT-GROUP LLC.
The construction of the vessel commenced in 2019 and it became the inaugural example of two vessels in the ST23WIM-H project to utilise the most recent innovative solutions in the field of electric propulsion. The vessel employs a hybrid propulsion system, which enables a combination of different modes of interaction between the main engines, diesel generators, and traction batteries. It is anticipated that the vessel will be capable of reaching speeds of up to 6 knots without the operation of the main engines and at maximum speeds without the operation of diesel generators.
The vessel is capable of operating exclusively on battery power, negating the need for the use of fuel. This will result in a reduction in operating costs, an increase in the service life of marine equipment, and a reduction in the negative impact on the environment.
The hybrid boat is designed for a variety of maritime operations, including the inspection of shipping lanes, the transportation of commissions, crew, and their families, the inspection and environmental monitoring of water areas, the participation in rescue operations, and the performance of pilotage on shipping lanes.
The new boat has an advanced navigation area, which is configured to correspond to the Ice3 ice class and is designed for use in freezing near-Arctic seas. The vessel is designed to be operated year-round in non-freezing seas and in summer in freezing seas in a temperate marine climate, with the following design temperatures: outside air from -20°C to 35°C; seawater from -2°C to 15°C. Significant enhancements have been made to the vessel's mobility features.
The vessel has been named in honour of the esteemed maritime worker Anatoly Klimov, a veteran of the Russian Navy and the former director of the Vanino branch of Rosmorport.
The vessel's specifications are as follows:
- LOA — 25,5m;
- Beam — 6.6 m;
- Draft — 2,0 m;
- Crew/staf — 2/10 persons;
- Main engines — 2?478 kW.
- Home port: Vanino.
The construction of the vessel was undertaken utilising a range of AKRUS® trademark coating systems.
The following coatings were applied:
- The underwater section of the vessel was coated with materials AKRUS® Epoks S, AKRUS® Epox S (AL), and AKRUS® - 042M.
- Other vessel surfaces coated with - AKRUS® Epoks S, AKRUS® Polyur, AKRUS® Prime, AKRUS® Long, AKRUS® Terma.
