Boat «Anatoly Klimov»

On January 28, 2020, at the Onego Shipyard, the pageantry of launching the hybrid working boat «Anatoly Klimov» of the ST23WIM-H project using a (vessel class KM ICE 3 R2 AUT) took place.

The vessel's construction number is 107-N. The working boat «Anatoly Klimov» was built by order of «Rosmorport» for operation in the Vanino seaport. The general developer of the project is MT-GROUP LLC.

The start of the boat's construction was in 2019, and it became the first of two vessels of the ST23WIM-H project using the latest innovative solutions in the field of electric propulsion. A hybrid propulsion system is used on the boat, which provides a combination of different modes of interaction between the main engines, diesel generators, and traction batteries. It is planned to move at speeds up to 6 knots without the operation of the main engines and at maximum speeds without the operation of diesel generators. The boat can operate exclusively on battery power without using fuel. This will optimize operating costs, increase the service life of marine equipment, and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

The hybrid boat is created for inspection of the condition of shipping lanes; trasporting of commissions, crew, and their families; inspection and environmental monitoring of water areas; participation in rescue operations, as well as pilotage on shipping lanes.

The new boat has an advanced navigation area — according to its configuration parameters, it corresponds to the Ice3 ice class and is created for floating in freezing near-Arctic seas. The vessel can be operated year-round for its intended purpose in non-freezing seas and in summer in freezing seas in a temperate marine climate at the following design temperatures: outside air from -20°C to 35°C; seawater from -2°C to 15°C. Its mobility features have been significantly improved.

The boat is named in honor of the honored worker of the navy, veteran of labor Anatoly Klimov, who for many years headed the Vanino branch of «Rosmorport».
