Supply of materials for Chernomortransneft JSC. Production site «Grushovaya»
- Client: JSC «Chernomortransneft» (part of the structure of JSC «Transneft»)
- Task: Supply of the AKRUS® trademark products for corrosion protection of Vertical steel tank — 30,000 m3 tanks and technological pipelines of the Sheskharis transshipment complex, the Grushovaya protective site.
The Sheskharis transshipment complex is located in Novorossiysk and is the terminus of the trunk oil pipelines of Transneft JSC in the Krasnodar Region, providing transportation of oil from the fields of Western Siberia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.
For transshipment through the port of Novorossiysk, oil accumulates at the Sheskharis and Grushovaya sites, while the Grushovaya site bears the main load due to the larger storage capacity of oil and petroleum products. Two protective sites — «Grushovaya» and «Sheskharis» — are located 12 km from each other.
Currently, the Sheskharis transshipment complex includes a tank farm with a capacity of about 1.4 million m3, a technological tunnel with pipelines through the Markhotsky Ridge with a length of 3.3 km, technological pipelines with a length of 79.4 km, and auxiliary facilities. As of January 2018, the Sheskharis transshipment complex has shipped more than 1.5 billion tons of hydrocarbon raw materials since loading the first Likhoslavl tanker in 1964.
The Grushovaya protective site is located on an area of 213 hectares and includes the following main facilities:
- Commodity tanks in the amount of 40 pieces with a total capacity of 1280 thousand m3;
- Technological pipelines with a total length of 62 km;
- Railway overpasses in the amount of 3 pcs. (property of Transneft Terminal JSC);
- Northern Portal;
- Integrated fire extinguishing system;
- Complex of facilities for engineering protection of the object.
In 2012, Chernomortransneft JSC started a large-scale reconstruction of the Sheskharis transshipment complex. It is planned to complete the modernization and technical re-equipment works in 2025.
In 2018, AKRUS® anticorrosive materials were applied to the inner surface of vertical steel tanks of 30,000 mZ No. 9.10 PP «Grushovaya».
Coating systems were used during anticorrosion works on the inner surface of the tank AKRUS® Praym - 200 mkm and AKRUS® Long — 200 mkm. The above systems are included in the Register of Transneft's main types of products and are allowed to be used at the Company's facilities.
