The Sheskharis transshipment oil receiving terminal, located in Novorossiysk, serves as the terminal for Transneft JSC's trunk oil pipelines in the Krasnodar Region. It facilitates the transportation of oil from the fields of Western Siberia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.
For transshipment through the port of Novorossiysk, oil is accumulated at both the Sheskharis and Grushovaya sites, with Grushovaya bearing the primary load due to its larger storage capacity for oil and petroleum products. These two sites, Grushovaya and Sheskharis, are situated 12 km apart from each other.
The Sheskharis oil transshipment hub currently features a tank farm with a capacity of approximately 1.4 million cubic meters, a 3.3 km technological tunnel with pipelines running through the Markhotsky Ridge, 79.4 km of technological pipelines, and various auxiliary facilities. By January 2018, the Sheskharis complex had shipped over 1.5 billion tons of hydrocarbon raw materials since the loading of the first Likhoslavl tanker in 1964.
The Grushovaya site spans 213 hectares and includes the following key facilities:
- 40 oil tanks with a total capacity of 1.28 million cubic meters
- Technological pipelines totaling 62 km in length
- Three railway overpasses (owned by Transneft Terminal JSC)
- Northern Portal
- An integrated fire extinguishing system
- A complex of facilities for the engineering protection of the site
In 2012, Chernomortransneft JSC initiated a large-scale reconstruction of the Sheskharis oil transshipment hub, with plans to complete the modernization and technical re-equipment by 2025.
In 2018, AKRUS® anticorrosive materials were applied to the inner surfaces of vertical steel tanks 30,000 m? No. 9 and 10 at the Grushovaya Production site.
Coating systems AKRUS® Praym-200 µm and AKRUS® Long-200 µm were used. These products are listed in Transneft's main product register and are approved for use at the company's facilities.
