AKRUS® R (GR) (flame retardant material) AKRUS ®

AKRUS® R (GR) (flame retardant material)

Fire-resistant coatings
  • Color: Dark grey
  • Type: Flame retardant coating
Fire protection thermally expanding (bloating agent) composition is an organically dilutable material. It is based on oxidised graphite. When exposed to high temperatures, the graphite expands to form a protective foam layer with low thermal conductivity, preventing metal structures from heating up.

AKRUS® R (E) (flame retardant material)

Fire-resistant coatings
  • Color: Gray
  • Type: Flame retardant coating
The flame-retardant thermally expanding (intumescent) material is formulated as a two-component system. The initial component is a polymer composition based on epoxy resin, which is reinforced by the addition of mineral and target fillers. The second component is a hardener, which is a homogeneous viscous liquid of brown colour.

Fire-resistant coatings
  • Color: White
  • Type: Flame retardant coating
The flame-retardant thermally expanding (intumescent) formula is an organic solvent suspension of pigments and target fillers in an acrylic polymer solution. Upon exposure to elevated temperatures (approximately 250°C), the material expands and forms a protective layer of carbon phosphate foam, preventing the heating of structures.
AKRUS® FM (basalt foil material in the fire protection system) AKRUS ® +2

AKRUS® FM (basalt foil material in the fire protection system)

Fire-resistant coatings
The system of structural fire protection comprises a rolled basalt foil material, designated ‘AKRUS® BFM’, which is mounted on an adhesive composition, designated ‘AKRUS® K’. The AKRUS® BFM is a web of mineral (basalt) fibre without a binder, stitched by a knitting and stitching method, with a one-sided lining of aluminium foil. AKRUS® K is a suspension of fillers in an inorganic binder.

AKRUS® Constructive GR

Fire-resistant coatings
Structural fire proofing coating is a combined two-layer coating containing the following fire proofing materials - 1st layer - coating based on thermal insulation composition 'AKRUS® TM'; - 2nd layer - coating based on the fire-retardant composition "AKRUS® R(GR)".

The company "AKZ Coatings" LLC offers  to buy flame retardant coatings of own production.

Types of formulas

We offer flame-retardant coatings-paints and protective materials that differ in composition and number of components

The composition of refractory products can be based on

  • polymer components — water-dispersion paste AKRUS® В, AKRUS suspension® Р with the use of various flame retardants;
  • oxidized graphite and acrylic binder — AKRUS® Р (ГР);
  • epoxy resin — AKRUS® Р (Э);
  • or mineral substances — AKRUS® basalt foil material, AKRUS® К.

The price of flame retardant coatings depends on the composition and characteristics of the action.

According to the number of components, the compositions are divided into one-pack and two-pack. Two-pack materials are divided into base and hardeners; single-pack products do not require mixing. They are immediately ready to use.

Flame—retardant materials also differ in application — some are suitable for outdoor use, others for indoor, and others for both indoor and outdoor.

Principle of operation

Fire-resistant coatings of metal structures acts in different ways. Particular formulas are created for the prevention of surfaces from heating or for the prevention of spreading fire. Such thermal insulation materials are often used for air ducts, communications, partitions, etc.

When exposed to high temperatures, other coatings swell, turning into a protective layer that takes the form of a so-called foam box, preventing the object from heating up and deforming. Such flame-retardant coatings of metal structures are triggered when the temperature reaches 250 degrees Celsius.

Materials apply not only to metal products. They fit for:

  • supply and exhaust systems;
  • smoke ventilation;
  • air conditioning systems;
  • chimneys;
  • other objects and surfaces that must be protected from heating.

Advantages of our products

The company "AKZ coatings" LLC specializes in producing protective coatings of various action spectrums. Deep immersion in this area allows you to focus on developing formulations with the required properties and full compliance with all international and domestic standards. High quality is achieved thanks to the complete control of each production stage. Quality control is carried out in our own laboratories. Manufacturing is also carried out at the production facilities owned by the company.

The materials we offer are distinguished by the following advantages:

  • High resistance to aggressive factors. Such coatings withstand the effects of ultraviolet radiation, temperature changes, moisture, and various chemical compounds.
  • Versatility. Our range includes materials that are suitable for any objects that require protection.
  • Ease to use. The compositions are easy to apply and can be used even at low temperatures. Highly specialized tools are not required for application. Brushes and other common devices are enough.
  • Service life. Our products can last more than 15 years. The service life of the coating depends on the conditions of use.

Among the important advantages of our flame—retardant coatings of metal structures is the price: it is democratic with high quality materials. Another important plus is environmental safety: the compounds do not harm health and the environment.

All our coatings are certified. Quality and reliability are guaranteed.
