As part of Transneft JSC's program for technical re-equipment, reconstruction, and overhaul of production facilities, the modernization of the tank farm at the pumping stations of the Omsk pipeline operation station is ongoing.
The Omsk station is strategically located at the convergence of multiple oil streams, where the accounting of received and delivered oil takes place. The section of trunk oil pipelines serviced by this station spans over 500 km.
In early 2019, specialists commissioned four new tanks specifically designed for receiving and storing diesel fuel. These tanks are engineered to operate safely for 50 years after construction completion, with the first maintenance interval set at 20 years. The construction process involved a comprehensive range of tasks. Currently, four additional storage tanks for petroleum products are under construction at the Omsk station
The construction of these new tanks is a vital component of the systematic modernization of production infrastructure for petroleum product transportation. The overarching goal is to ensure a high level of reliability and to bring the technical condition of facilities in line with regulatory standards, while also meeting environmental and safety requirements.
Anticorrosive products application conducted utilizing AKRUS® brand coatings. These coating systems, AKRUS® Praym and AKRUS® Long, were employed for the anti-corrosion treatment of the tank's inner surface. Both systems are registered as main product types by JSC Transneft and are authorized for use across the company's facilities.
